They made a few mistakes here and there (MSU and OSU games) but for the most part they were very solid. That was also with 3 freshmen starting. #6 in the Big10 maybe. What offensive powerhouses did Michigan play last season? Western Michigan was the highest scoring team Michigan played last season at #18 (avg 35pts/game). Michigan State was the second highest scoring team Michigan played last season at #39 (avg 30pts/game). I'm sure the defense looked good against mediocre offenses.
