Completely stock vs completely stock and on smooth pavement, yes. As much as I hate to bring up magazine stats, the "regular" Mustang GT's were generally given the nod on handling before the later comparison rounds involving the ZL1 and 1LE.

From a purely technical position, the GT500 and 2SS car weights are close to a wash with the tire size & grip and wheel width advantages all going to the GT500. Especially the front tires & wheels.

In normal up to fairly hard street driving, you probably wouldn't notice any difference in the handling per se although there would be a difference in "feel". At least as long as the road isn't rough/bumpy.


I'd have posted the same thing even if I didn't happen to own a Mustang.
