Meh, personally I think the MMO genre is dying. And this is unfortunate. The market is becoming oversaturated with bad games. I have a giant pile of MMO game boxes that I didn't continue a subscription for more than two months.
The constant build up of a potential "WoW-killer" continually results in dissappointment, ESPECIALLY (and ironically) when everything out there tries to be a WoW-clone.
My favorite MMO ever was Star Wars Galaxies - the original version. It was doing fairly well until WoW came out. The developers hit the panic button and turned the game into a WoW-clone, effectively killing it.
GW seems to have maintained a nice niche following of players, and I'm sure the sequel will be a decent, lasting game.
Personally, all the dissappointing MMO's that have been pumped out in the last 5 years have ruined the genre for me. Which sucks because only an MMO has the potential to be a real deep, complex, and sustainable game.
