That's one of the reasons I gave up on Gran Turismo years ago. If you want more realistic American cars, you need to get an X-Box and Forza 4. I recently built and painted a '10 SS to handle and look like a '13 1LE (on Forza 4). I have to say, it is an absolute blast to drive. Not the fastest, but it handles great and you can have oversteer on demand!
The car is easy to control, and riot to beat on. The sounds in Forza are the closest to the real thing I've ever heard in a game.
