Not because they are spinning off the line either. Sure tires will help the 500 but you have to be able to drive it at that power level and the setup makes a huge deal. I ran w/ in 4 tenths ( he ran 10.46@14x) of a 2010 800rwhp shelby 500 that had a drag race setup and hooked it for that run. That was his best run of the day, most of his runs were in the 10.7`s. I have beat several other Shelby`s w/ 100+ more rwhp than me. The 800rwhp one is the only one to beat me so far at my local track here in VA. It only took him 264 more rwhp to beat me by 4 tenths. If I was at 600rwhp I would have beat him easy.

The ZL1 comes in automatic and the 500 doesn`t, and I think the average ZL1 driver in an automatic car will beat the average 2013 GT driver, stock for stock 9 times out of 10 down the 1/4 mile. Now this is just my opinion we will have to wait and see if this bears fruit or not. Manaul zl-1 I do think the 500 will win.

127-129mph on a manual car does not put 99% of drivers in the 10`s, automatic car yes, manual no.

I`m not all that impressed w/ the 2013 500, they basicly just turned the boost up, you could have done that w/ the previous model, yes I know the motors diff, and there are other improvements, but you are not going to be able to add much boost percentage wise to the 2013 like you did with the previous models over the stock level. I also understan d this 5.8 has more compression. 2012 guys don`t run out and trade your 500`s in in my opinion. But then I`m not at all impressed w/ the ZL1`s 1/4 mile abilities either.

Personally I think take a 5.0 boost it or take a SS and boost it. faster, lot less money, if you want a mmmm1/4 mile car. But thats just me , I don`t like being parted from my dollars.
mph shows how brutally fast the car is. The et just shows how well you were able to handleit in relation to mph. You can run a quicker time occasionally with the slower car, but that will never make it faster. That mph translates to power and acceleration even in everyday driving, especially on the freeway. If you take 2 cars and one traps almost 10mph slower than the other, its going to feel quite underwhelming by comparison and you dont need the scrutiny of a track or stopwatch to tell the difference.
