One day when I was driving to college from my parent's place, there was a state trooper going slightly under the speed limit. I passed him in the left lane doing maybe 3-4mph over if that. Anyway. about 5 miles down the road, I see a car coming up to me like a bat out of hell. Must've been going 20-30mph over... he catches up to me drives in parallel, gives me a mean look and motions with his hand to slow down.
oh and front plate laws are stupid in my opinion. If you're not speeding or visibility violating any law, why should anybody need to look at your front plate. In IL, they have argued that the front plate helps for vehicle identification in such times when the rear plate is not visible such as a severe accident where the rear plate gets mangled or the car's back end gets jammed up against something. But I personally think that argument is very weak. Can't cops look up cars by VIN if they need?
