He must have set the throttle way too high before he got out to prop it, otherwise it would not have been able to get off the ground at idle. Nope, that warnt me. My only good story is that on my second solo, I smelled something burning. At one point I thought I saw just a tiny curl of smoke coming from the avionics somewhere. Then my radio went completely out. I was outside controlled airspace, so I went around the airport I had come from and landed at a little country airport that I knew about.
