Thought the game was great, followed it for quite a few months before it came out. Has THE BEST real-time combat system EVER. I loved playing a shadowcaster (Rogue/Mage build). Mostly used daggers for awesome stealth kills and chakrams just cause they look so damn cool during combat.

The game could have been a bit more polished though. Considering it was new IP and 38 Studios' first release I'd have to say it was very successful. The new DLC for it was ok, nothing special, as with all RPG's the quests get pretty repetative.

The main thing that bothered me was the leveling, I'm a competionist type, and I was always outleveling the areas. Main fix for this is to just make sure you don't zone into new areas until you are fully done with the others. If you are low lvl and zone into one, then gain 6 lvls and zone back in everything will be gray and boring to fight. Also, the voice acting doesn't match up with the characters facial expressions as well as it should so it kind of didn't pull me in as much as say ME3 has. The blacksmithing just destroys the stats of anything you'll ever get as a drop. And the 'set' items are a total joke. Stats on those are even worse than the epic drops, even with set bonuses. Gold is kind of a joke too, you'll always have more than you'll ever need. I have like 12 million right now.

I beat the game quite a while ago, did most all the side quests I could find and the new DLC. Have 229 completed quests, all the lorestones, and right at 120hrs playtime, so based on their hype I was expecting to be closer to the 200hrs they claimed.

All in all it was definately worth the purchase. I pre-ordered it from Amazon at release for $59 on xbox 360. then the day after release they dropped the price to $45 to be in line with toys-r-us and other retailers. So I used the live chat and demanded the price difference. I got a $15 credit, and then a week later they issued another $20 promo code to all the people who preordered. So for effectively $25 it was impossible to beat what I got for the money. Even if I had paid full price it would have been worth it IMO.
