Honda builds cheap vehicles and charges a premium for them. Honda cuts corners in many places people don't see. Brakes, wheels/tires, chassis, and engine. People are happy if their Honda runs...and usually they will keep going if you keep putting timing belts on them at the interval. But that doesn't make them quality built vehicles in the least.
Any company that still uses mechanical valvetrains in 2009 should be laughed off the market. Yet people rag on GM for using pushrods?? How ironic.
