You know this is an ignorant statement because up until 5 years ago. Chevy was the american hyundai. Everyone thought the cavalier, cobalt, impala and non-SS monte's were pieces of crap. Let's not forget that genesis coupe runs circles around a v6 camaro. It really doesn't matter it doesn't have a V8. Its a v6 that outperforms the camaro v6 by a landslide. Interior quality is also leagues better than camaro. Camaro suspension is terrible compared to ALL the sports cars except challenger. I love the camaro styling and engine but a spade is a spade.
How many die hard chevy fans look back and are embarrased by owning the lumina, beretta, corsica and other garbage models. In the 80's, pontiac had better cars overall. The fiero, bonneville, trans am, grand prix, grand am and buicks regal, toronado, reatta, and the oldsmobile were much higher quality models than chevy. Back then all chevy had was camaro monte and corvette out of over a dozen models at the time.
Chevy lost it once the gas crisis of the 70's hit and it took them 30 years to be viable and up to date with the rest of the world. Everybody has had greatness and their fall from greatness. Get over the hyundai name and appreciate the car for what it is... chevy has come a long way and they are doing BEAUTIFUL things but still has no class leading model except the Silverado, which is a whole other ballpark.
