Here is a quote from my wife after the first time she drove my car, "That is not fair!". As soon as Ford popped the 3.7L in though the tables turned again. It was a one year (2010) victory for GM who still has not responded.
The LS3/L99 did in fact get Ford to push the all redesigned 5.0L as well. That levelled the playing field pretty good with a slight edge to the Stang. Then came the Boss, then the ZL1, and now the ShelbyGt500...and who knows whats next.
They both make good vehicles. I am a die hard Chevy guy but admit the Mustang is a blast to drive as well. GM has quirks/problems with the Camaro too...check out the transmission threads in both V6 and V8 versions (manual trans). GM hasn't done any better of a job fixing the known issues and complaints than Ford has done.
Oh and did the saleman tell you how much Onstar costs after the free period is over? It's not free And there is no factory Nav if you drop Onstar. So each has its weaknesses, pick the one that is best for you. As for the Transformers car, well it's not my style just like I wouldn't drive the General Lee or Smoky and the Bandits TA or the Weinermobile But is is limited production so jump on one when you can afford to if that is your dream car.
Yeah, the Camaro Transformers 3 edition is now one of my dream cars, I will own one...one day probably far from now.

I love special edition cars, stickers are the bomb. I love attention getting cars too. That's why I am gonna straight pipe my next car, hehe.

I too wonder where this muscle car war will take us, with the 2013 GT500 and the ZL1 coming to be, what's next? We have already reached super car levels of horsepower and torque, so where will we go next? It's such a good time to be living! The days of the muscle car are here again, probably for the last time!

My Mustang friend told me that Ford and Chevy had an agreement, because of GM taking bail out money and rebuilding themselves Ford agreed to delay the release of their 5.0 motor until 2011 that way Chevy could make some money and have one year to be the fastest muscle car on the road. Is that even true? I really doubt it. He said that a Ford technician told him this, but why would a Ford dealer tech even know about a deal of that magnitude? I am sure it would be a huge secret if it was true. Right?

I don't mean to start anything asking that, but I would kind of like to know.

I doubt Chevy would take a deal like that, that's like bending over and letting Ford do dirty things to Chevy.
