The 2013 gt500 will be in showrooms while the 2012 zl1 is for a longer period of time than the 2012 gt500 will be. Nobody cross-shopping the zl1 is going to buy a 2012 gt500, they are going to compare it to the 2013. By the 2012 zl1 hits showrooms you will likely be able to order a 2013 gt500.
