Because even the 300hp version has traction issues. Mustangs have been plagued with traction problems for years and adding power only makes it worse. If they can get this thing to stick it will be a monster, but that is a big if. I suspect that is why GM is so confident in the ZL1.
PS: I would be happy to do some long term field testing and reviews on the ZL1 if anyone at the mother ship wants to drop one off.

I'll be sure to park it right next to Apex Paul's Mustang.
