Personally I'm extremely disappointed in the finish. I'm a team Chevy fanboy generally... but that was a pathetic way to win the race, and blaming it on the rules you have to follow is an equally pathetic excuse. I think i lost some serious respect in most of the drivers I've heard comment on the finish, including Carl Edwards. I've been a fan for as long as i can remember, but i think hearing drivers making excuses for each other and for that finish might have just broken that for a while... I think i had glorified the sport too much in my mind, and convinced myself that there was some sort of crazy game of chess with interpersonal relationships going on, but all i saw here was someone taking a shot at the leader and then everyone involved saying "welp... he had to do it!" simply as a political statement towards a rule they dislike.
I've watched the finish a few times, and judging by distance from the line even though Carl said that he tried to block Brad, Brad definitely turned into it. As the wreck starts, he goes from 1ft off the line to 2 feet off the line faster than you can say

. I guarantee had that not have happened, you would have seen a finish similar to Saturdays Busch race where both cars lose speed, but neither actually wrecks. I'm definitely willing to say I'm wrong on that aspect later as i have been pretty biased since the moment of incident, but either way i think it was bad racing, bad driving, and nothing but crappy sport-politics to say "He had to do it".
