Ok.... I think I posted a while back about the employee that I have that hasn't worked since march 29th or something... well coinicidentally they also rent an apartment from me.

Ok well they have been "SICK" and keep bringing in notes but I see them doing stuff that makes me think "well if you are sick then why are you out here carrying stuff around and climbing across a fence walking through a field" I have not said this to them because I dont want any more problems than I already have. Well they had not paid me rent for this month. Their husband was supposed to pay me last friday and never did. THen said monday. Well no pay.

Back story that should not be related but it is---- Last sept. I needed some work done to my building. Her husband is a carpenter and was out of work and told me they would not have the rent on time... i said well I have some work that needs to be done would you be willing to do it and I will just take that off of the rent. They were happy that I was willing to work with them. So I tell him to tell me what I need to get to do the job. Tells me the stuff to get and says you dont have to worry about getting this other stuff because I have it left over from another job and it didn't cost me anything so i wont charge you anything for it. I say ok sounds ok to me. So I get the stuff and the day he was supposed to do it he didn't start. it ended up being about two weeks later said he was sick. ok well finally he starts on it and its taking alot longer than it should. I mean it was only replacing an overhang that was maybe a foot wide by 60 foot. He would work at a very slow pace stopping to talk to people that he knew coming into the store. Well I did not keep track of how many hours it was taking him to do it and time for the rent had come and gone so I ask well how much do I owe you for it so far. he said he had 21 hours on it (my jaw about dropped) and it would be 15 dollars an hour. so that turned out to be 315 dollars. still would owe me $110 He wasn't finished I would say he still had about 20% more to finish it up. He asked if it would be ok to call it even to finish it up. I said ok but lets try to get this done ASAP. He said he would finish it the next day. Well he let it sit unfinished since sept or oct until sunday then he gets out there to finish it.

I am standing out on the porch this eve watching traffic go by. And she pulls around the corner of a building in her explorer (from what she told me she isn't supposed to be driving) and I motion for her to pull up. She pulls up and I ask how she is feeling. She said Im still sick I ask again whats wrong and she said it was her back and now her arm. And I ask if the date on the note was right because that seems a lil long to me for a doctors note. and said yes and that she was going back to the doc again the end of this month... I said well... your husband said that he was goin to pay me the rent on friday and he said he didn't get paid and would pay me on monday... which he didn't... she said he told her that the work that he finished would take care of the rent. I said no he has already been paid for that....... she said that isn't what he told her and that she would tell him to come down and talk to me when she got back....

(thought I would break it up a bit so I can finish the rest)
