This is true, but if this isn't a feasible option then go and work on one thing only.
For instance, if your balance is poor..go work on balance for a few games not worrying about your score.
If you are having a hard time hitting your mark, pick an arrow on the lane (2nd is always a good choice) and work on just drilling that mark over and over...but once again don't worry about your score.
Once your fundamentals are down, then you can go and start working on getting that average up!
