My best guess is that the skin, or coating, on the stealth Blackhawk helicopter is a totally new material or a new application of an existing material. If the Chinese can reverse-engineer this technology, it gives them years of free technology. The US does not want this because China has a recent history of military posturing. Pakistan basically handed this item to China for testing so that the Chinese military could catch up with that of the United States.

Keep in mind that China has been expanding its claims to the South China Sea, a waterway used by the entire world for global commerce and trade. China also just completed sea trials with its first aircraft carrier. Also, China has threatened the US over trade with Taiwan, which is guaranteed by internationally recognized treaty, as well as over a recent meeting with the Dalai Lama. This reflects a growing trend toward hostility in an already dangerous neighborhood. Furthermore, keep in mind the other unfriendly countries in the region doing trade with China: Myanmar and North Korea. Both of those countries do business with Iran, and Iran does business with Venezuela. Among these countries, there is access to nuclear technology, advanced weapons capabilities, and authoritarian regimes that do not like the United States.

By giving this technology to China, Pakistan may have given that technology to other countries hostile to the United States.
