I personally think that the PS3 controller is horrible! I picked up Killzone 2, and its a great game, but the controller blows. There is a solution if your willing to spend the money, or have the technical know how, and top notch with a soldering gun. I picked up a "PS360", basically a 360 controller modded to work with a PS3. all of the functions are there including the six axis. you could do it your self, but there are like over 20 wiring configurations that playstation uses. here are a few quick pics
