in Alabama you don't have to have a temp tag when you buy a new car. You just wait for your real tags to come in. When I bought my camaro last year i just drove it off the lot like that. Then a couple weeks later I drove it down to Florida for vacation and some cops got after me about it. I didn't get in any trouble they just informed me that it was against the law there. In Florida you have to have some kind of tag on at all times. The laws are different in Alabama. Didn't think anything of it before I went down there, didn't know. Anyway, I had my dealer mail me a temp tag overnight so I wouldn't get in trouble in FL.
