No, I bought it from a dealer in Pittsburgh. My brother saw it sitting in the showroom and called me on a Sunday to tell me about it. I was there monday morning to look at it, and negotiations began. By Friday morning I drove it home. I really had no idea the color was as rare as it is, I just knew it was a looker, and a color I rarely saw. My main criteria was condition, milage, and manual trans... the color was a bonus!
I plan to leave it pretty much stock, but may do a few minor upgrades... Already considering swapping out the stock SS badges and bowties for the SLP heritage SS kit. The retro style 1/4 panel trim pieces were on it when I bought it... I'm considering taking them off, but to be honest I sorta like the nod to 1969 they evoke.
