the article notes that BMW also got knocked in 2006 because of the iDrive system. I guess all new systems take some time to get used to. I'm glad they keep adding features to cars because if they didn't we'd still be driving cars without air conditioning, radios, bluetooth, or many other features that we love today.
But seriously, think of the complexity of setting up bluetooth compared to turning on an air conditioner. But we all love it now because we understand how it works!
I'm not trying to defend Ford specifically. But trust me, the system is easy to use. There's just a ton of features such as navigation, sattelite radio, bluetooth, climate controls, dvd player, etc etc
Sure it's going to take awhile to learn how to use all of it, but it is not at all hard to use the important features such as climate controls. There are even physical buttons for that so if you hate using a touch screen, you can use buttons!
