I'll just repost what I wrote on my facebook page about the Macho Man.

"I remember seeing Randy, and Liz back in the day, many times, live at the Providence Civic Center(Providence, Rhode Island... where I grew up). Before the King of the Ring tournament was a big PPV event, before PPV wrestling events were commonplace, it was held there every year. I saw Randy win that. I was also there at Wrestlemania 8 in Indianapolis(where I now live) when Randy wrestled the Nature Boy Ric Flair for the WWF title, and beat THE man to become THE man. The greatest match I've ever seen and people often argue this as one of the greatest matches of all time, was Wrestlemania 3 when Randy Savage wrestled Ricky Steamboat for the Intercontinental title. Randy lost that day but, he was forever established as one of the true greats in the biz. Thank you Randy for entertaining us over the years. We loved you and at times, loved to hate you. You were amongst the best in your profession. This picture above with Liz on your shoulder is how I will always remember you. Thank you for the memories."
