I average about 75-80 mph when I drive to NC for reserves. I know I could save a little bit of gas by going slower, but 3 hours in the truck vs 4 hours?
I'll take the 3 hrs. unless I leave earlier in the day (never happens) and am not trying to get there before midnight just to wake up at 5am to go to work the next morning.
but considering I can still pull almost 15mpg in the truck doing roughly 80mph for 250+ miles and still have a quarter tank of fuel left when I get to the hotel... I'll drive faster and burn a little more gas.
then again, I could buy an external fuel cell to mount in the bed.... 91 gallon fuel cell.... plus the 22/23 gal fuel tank...
should last me for a while

lol now your thinking.....however your mpg might go down at first with that 91 gallon fuel cell with all that added weight and then eventually get back to where its suppose to be
