I love stories like this.

Several years ago when the C5 Z06 came out, Mrs Number 3 had one of the CTF cars. This was the second year of that model that had 405 HP.

We are cruising on the world famous Woodward Avenue and we're at a stop light. A kid and 2 buddies pulls up in a Ford Probe. He revs the engine again and again, so I finally roll down the window and as if he can read the badge on the fender (it reads 405 HP in case you weren't up on your Corvette trivia). "I've got Nitrous" he boldly declared. Sadly, he had nothing else on this Probe to indicate it would accomplish anything.

I still laugh at that story.

Needless to say he pulled away with an ever so momentary squak of the tires trying to prove something to himself or his buddies, but without me in pursuit.
