The 2.0T is undergoing a massive rework for the Regal and presumably Malibu. More power, better efficiency, etc.

Newp. 2012 Malibu will have a short model year run, then most likely transition over to Classic like Malibus before it. This EpII Malibu will be in production either by the end of this year or beginning of next.
