I have a 95 and I love it for being underpowered with it's anemic 2.5 litre 4 cylinder and 198,500 miles, the only major trouble I had is when the 5th gear went. But besides that it's been durable and reliable. But would I put a 17 year old in it? Maybe.
Thier fun and easy as hell to modify and work on. I do better with mine in the snow than in my parents pick up. Course I got 31 inch mud tires
