Fuel needs to be government subsidized. I like to quote Chris Rock in these situations in regards to oil in Ira and Afghanistan.
"All I know is, if I invade Kentucky Fried Chicken...wings will be cheap at my house!"
Seriously if we are going to bother invading and rebuilding these entire countries there should be something in it for us and I see nothing better for the average Joe than some cheap fuel.
I really think there are going to be riots though when gas gets up to and over $4 a gallon. The lasting memory of 2 years ago when some of us were paying up to FIVE FIFTEEN for a gallon of premium are too close in our minds.
No one wants to go through that shit again and people are going to be 10x more pissed than when it first happened.
And personal opinion here but SCREW oil companies. I cannot stand them in any way! To me they are down there with the scum of the earth. They make BILLIONS UPON BILLIONS of cash exploiting oil. This isn't some crap we don't need like Orange Juice its extremely essential to our lives. They mighty as well start charging for air and complete screwing us in the ass.
I hope the government can take them over or limit them in some way, they are making way too much money on bullshit. This is the one area in which I wouldn't mind complete and utter socialism.
