Excuse my sterotypical view of your story. However, some cops are pricks. But you meet pricks at Home Depot. What do you do in that case? Complain to management. If you feel that you have a complaint - voice it, but to the appropriate agency.
I totally agree with your point of view, but i can assure you this was the entire story. It might not be pin-point exact but I did not miss any parts that we might have done to piss off the officer, or anything disorderly.
However I did miss some parts about them yelling at me for "asking stupid questions" after i politely asked about the searching.

Threads like this do nothing to support the image of law enforcement. The LEO isn't here to defend themselves and the hatred gets erroneously and ignorantly perpetuated.
How is it that I have driven on California roads for 40 years and no LEO has ever done this to me?
I will say though that California LEO's specially assigned to traffic enforcement must drive marked (black and white) police cars. While plain wrapper or unmarked cars can make traffic stops, the officers cannot be assigned to the duties of traffic enforcement. Here is the law..

40800. (a) A traffic officer on duty for the exclusive or main
purpose of enforcing the provisions of Division 10 (commencing with
Section 20000) or 11 (commencing with Section 21000) shall wear a
full distinctive uniform, and if the officer while on duty uses a
motor vehicle, it must be painted a distinctive color specified by
the commissioner.
Thank you for the info. I will research further upon that. And I would have admitted to anything we were doing, but honestly the most we were going was 5-7mph over the limit. But if I was in your position reading this I would think the same, so i understand.

I don't see what we did to piss them off so much to a point where he wants to take me in just because he can?
