Sorry, being a Cop and having had a 17-18 year old son, I'm skeptical this is the entire story. And you not showing your hands when told to do so, is the brief half-second so many officers have lost their lives. That's the half-second of contimplation many criminals have taken to shoot the officer, or run him over, etc.

Excuse my sterotypical view of your story. However, some cops are pricks. But you meet pricks at Home Depot. What do you do in that case? Complain to management. If you feel that you have a complaint - voice it, but to the appropriate agency.
