Hmm...but I take it that eventually everybody does the same drills?

How about this:

"Hey, me and some of the guys were having a little competition to see who could hold their breath the longest. I could hold it for (insert your time here)...you think you can beat that?"

It's a good idea to smile when you are talking to her, but don't smile too much, just enough for her to smile back...and not some creepy psycho smile either, but a friendly-I'm-not-going-to-hurt-you smile.

You could also make it a bit of a challenge for her by adding, "Oh, but it won't be that easy. While you're holding your breath, you have to stand on one foot as well." If she complies to this, YOU'RE FREAKIN GOLDEN!!! If she doesn't, that's fine, just see how long she can hold her breath for. While she is holding her breath and standing on one foot, start counting obviously, but also shake your head a bit as in showing dissapproval or as if she is doing it wrong. When she is done, say "A 1 year old has better balance than you!" but don't make it seem like you are coming off as a jerk, make it so that she'll laugh as well.

That should be a friendly, non-threatening way to approach her.
