The reason the car pulled a 12.4 is due to an exceptional 60' time. That car launched really well ( definately a 1.8x sec 60') on "stock tires." That's really hard to do in cold weather on stock tires.
If you also notice he did several burnouts really heating up the "stock" tires. Who says burnouts don't help stock tires get traction?
Great run, but as you mentioned it was all about an exceptional 60' time.

Ive been to that track (Infineon) on what were supposedly "good days" and still had low trap numbers in my old heads/cam 5.0 @107mph.....LS1 cars on those days were only hitting 99-101mph and LT1 cars @94-96. 3 out of the 4 times i been there its been "slow", its at sea level so maybe its the equipment???? i dont know but it looks like the 392 puts down between 50-60more rwhp than the 6.1 so we should see an increase of about 5mph on the trap speeds on average vs. the old SRT
also, i wouldnt consider those real burnouts, they looked more like he was just cleaning off the tires a bit.
STill, good launch though im guessing 60' times in the 1.9x range.
