Anyway, I got my early order SS in July of 2009, and life has been good until now. NOW, my Silverado is at the dealer, with the engine "torn down" per instructions from "technical assistance". This started last Thursday, and they still can't (won't?) tell me what is wrong. Truck has 53K miles, and the dealer has done all of the oil changes. I have a GM provided rental HHR...
The crux of this missive is that my ardor for Chevrolet is starting to fade, and that is depressing, because I love my Camaro so much. I am having to listen to no small amount of "I told you so"...."Government Motors"...et al, crap from my friends. It IS embarrassing, considering the mileage on the truck. I don't think I will be able to trust the darn truck again, and find myself pondering the Ram.

Any words of wisdom or comfort? Anybody else had any GMT-900 engine trouble? (I have the 6.0 AFM)

Thanks for reading.
I'm sure there are people on some of the Ford Forums with issues, also. I'm sorry for your troubles, but give them a chance to take care of you. Every company has an issue every now and then. It's about how they back up there warranty that matters. Theirs a member that has had engine problems with there LT Camaro. Chevy has replaced the engine a few times. The last I read on the situation, GM had approved them to return the car, they were just determining weather to buy back the car or exchange it.
