The LS9 is a fully forged wonder of building block just made for big power. Change the $100 supercharger pulley and you have a 90 extra hp, change to a larger twin screw supercharger $5k and with enough fuel you would be at 800-1,000whp without even pulling the valve cover's
you could get a new performance block and start from the ground up but who with a zr1 wants to do that. i understand on the zo6.I dont see too many people blowing up LS9 block's in the future or unless 1000whp isnt enough.
I would sell my current ride for a LS9/ bad ass 6 speed auto in a factory Camaro with a factory warranty. Just call it the ZL1 and give it tons of tranny options like the Super Cobra Jet, but keep the price in the CTS-V range, so I could still afford to slap a big twin screw Whipple 4.0L on top of it w/ methanol injection.
Correct me if im wrong but cant the LS9 handle more boost and flow better numbers then the LSA even if they both have say the same 2.9L Whipple at 17 psi? I thought the internals were better? and imaging what GM could do with a ZR1/LS9'ish performance tuned auto trans with maybe a trans brake and high stall.
