Luckily we found another vet that got her back on the right track after several weeks. But during that time the pain of knowing i was going to loose her was horrible. I can only imagine. Hopefully you and your wife can get another friend, not that Cassie is replacable, but another happy face might help ease the loss.

We had found out about Cassie 4 months ago. We did IVs for a week to get her B.U.N. down and then put her on KD food for Kidney problems. If we had not done that we would have lost her a few months back. Sometimes the Kidneys will adjust to the special food and they live for years. We were hopeful that would be the case for Cassie but it wasn't meant to be.
