Well looky here...Ill be damned...none other than MM & FF got 500rwhp on the dot. LMAO. And of course they use a dyno jet (show the highest numbers). I bet this is where you guys like to get a lot of your information. Thats cool...

I also think that evo got this result as well. Again...I am not surprised LOL.

From everything I have seen it looks like the car is 470-480 rwhp on average. IMO that doesnt warrant calling it a 500rwhp car. Thats like calling the new camaro a mid 12 second car or a 390rwhp car. Some have done it yes...but I wouldnt expect it. And I surely dont go around saying it on mustang boards...
Of course they use a dynojet, they are the more common, more easily compared dynamometer as opposed to the likes of a mustang dyno or dynapak because load calibration varies so much from MD to MD and numbers are generally lower. If everyone used mustang dyno numbers, the average output for an SS would likely be ~340-350rwhp. I would be interested to see the mileage of each car considering there has always been boost limiting in the first XXX miles in the gt500. That's not to say that 500whp is necessarily the average for a broken in car, just saying it may explain some of the power deficit. It honestly wouldn't surprise me at all to see 500rwhp from a '11 considering the first generation gt500's made ~435-440rwhp. I think mid 480s is more likely, but we'll see. Once more people get their hands on them, the true average will be common knowledge.
