I wouldn't say it was completely out of the question to get a LS9 Camaro I just think it is highly unlikely.
It was far easier for dodge to offer the Viper power train in a
Truck over say the Charger or Challenger.
Yes they are dealer installed options. Options that the Manufacturer researched and developed and more importantly still warranty. Ford would be in a VERY VERY easy position to change the supercharger on the assembly of the engine.
Ford designed the Super Pack and offers warranty on it. The next step is just to make it standard. It would not be hard for Ford at all to do this. And they have pretty much hinted at the fact they want to see what the Z/28 will be before they start slapping the TVS blower on the GT500s from the factory.
