The GT/CS in this test has 3.55 gears, auto and all season tires.
The GT than ran 12.7 was a standard GT with 3.73 and summer tires (standard on GT)
this is what I gathered from my research.

I went on the Ford website and found you need to order the 19" Dark Stainless wheels (which has summer tires) and you get the Brembo Brakes with that option. Standard is a 3.31 rear, and you can choose 3.55 or 3.73 regardless of whether you get the brakes or not. Correctly there is no track pack there is an SVT performance package, but I think thats for the V6... I couldn't find a way to put it on either car though. The GT/CS does not allow you to get the brembo brakes at all even though the wheels that come with it are 19"... in fact none of the 19" wheels except the Dark Stainless ones can be ordered with the Brembo brakes (kinda retarded).
Either way the GT/CS is not the best competition for the SS Camaro, a GT with the 19 inch wheels/brembo brakes option would put it closer to or better in performance with the Summer tires and basically equivalent brakes. Throw in the 3.73 gears and I have a feeling the Camaro won't be ahead anymore...
