I hope that, at 90 years old, my friends are still driving.
and I hope that they're driving something powerful at that age, too.
as for the "hitting the gas instead of the brake" question, let me tell you a story about my friend's Dad and his 1986 Corvette. my buddy actually built that little Vette and loved it, but it was an A4 and he wanted a six speed. and even after he got a six speed car and then built the C4 up to be crazy fast as an A4 car, it just didn't seem right to abuse it like that. so he returned it to mostly stock (except for the 388rwhp ZZ4 crate motor. that has a "few" mods on it

) and gave it to his dad. and about a year after he gave it to him, his Dad went to do a panic stop one day and hit the gas instead of the brake, all while swerving to avoid the car in front of him. needless to say, a 388rwhp A4 car, when you slam on the gas while turning, will go into a wild spin after downshifting to God knows what gear. and so the car went spinning and he tried to keep it under control and managed to miss all but one Ford Explorer before it went sliding across the median of Interstate 35. and then it struck a sign and came to a stop.
and the sign said:
VEHICLE CROSSING PROHIBITTED
