Hold on bro, you're gonna get me in trouble.

The 250lb weight loss target is for the GRWD-based Mustang due sometime around the 2013CY, and not the S197 refresh were about to see unveiled. An interesting tidbit, GRWD will use an IRS and will be good enough to underpin some Lincoln models without major changes. And Ford still wants the car to weigh 250lb less for their trouble.
Truth be told it isn't that far fetched. The Mazda RX8 isn't grossly more expensive than the Mustang GT, is close to the same size in most important dimensions, and would weigh in the neighborhood of the GRWD Mustang's target weight if you slipped a DOHC, 4.6L and T56 under the hood and trans tunnel. And that car comes by slow boat from Japan so production cost are exacerbated compared to what they would be were the RX manufactured here.

I admire your tenacity, but with all due respect that info isn't accurate. The 5.0L, 6-speed combo will be here for the 2011MY, and that is not a guess.
