The NCAA will hold its infractions committee hearings on February 19-21 and Southern Cal can expect severe sanctions and that dreaded lack of institutional control label thanks also to the basketball program’s involvement with O.J. Mayo. It’s already leaking out that the preliminary findings indicate there will be a heavy loss of scholarships for both sports. I’m sure the NCAA will demand that athletic director Mike Garrett is fired, too. This is going to get really ugly. Now you also know why Mike Riley didn’t return any phone calls to USC for the last week and why he signed a multi-year extension at Oregon State"
