Okay—you got me. I'll say a few things about it. Tennessee is a respectable squad who, taking advantage of turnovers that should have never been and a solid home court advantage, beat the top ranked Jayhawk squad. They didn't play great, but they capitalized on freshman mistakes. Frankly, I'm glad the Volunteers would be the ones to bring reality to Kansas. KU lost 3 games before winning it all 2 years ago, and all of them were in the Big 12. A loss to Tennessee will make them fight harder in the conference, which is Bill Self's top priority. KU has a long-standing dominance in its conference, winning more conference championships than any team in NCAA basketball. This was a learning experience. Kansas learned that loss is still possible, even in its 89th game keeping the opponent under 50% shooting. With this, we can expect some additional maturity on the court. Perhaps this lesson will yield a few more future points from Taylor, Morningstar, and Reed, all players who need to become more aggressive and could have each won the game for their missed opportunities. Kansas lost a game at Tennessee, and that's okay. They deserved to win for capitalizing on the foolish turnovers the Jayhawks made today. Despite this, I'd keep betting on Kansas if I were you.
