The most hp I am aware of in an existing GM truck is 403hp. As for the GM being less expensive to build and maintain, we don't have any reason to assume that. The 6.2L Ford does indeed use an extra camshaft relative to the LSx, but it also doesn't have to deal with pushrods, lifters, etc.
