The CTS-V is a formidable car. You have to factor in cost otherwise you can pick a car that costs two or three times as much like a Porsche Panamera Turbo. It doesn’t matter if the people buying these types of cars could afford the Panamera. What do you think GM could do with the CTS-V with another $80k to play with?
The M3 is a good car, it’s down 130hp on the CTS-V but it’s also I’m guessing about 400lbs lighter which helps especially on a tight track.
I saw a video of Heinrcy and a BMW test driver go head to head and in a CTS-V and a M5 and the laps were almost identical. Now of course BMW will up the power to be on par with the CTS-V and will pull ahead and then GM will probably do the same on its next version. It’s called competition.
