No disrespect ma'm, but i cannot see how you can be so calm over this. I would call your local police and ask about what you can do to get the repairs done on the vehicle. They may just state its a civil matter and you would have to take the owner to small claims court.

2nd, go to the owners house and expalin the situation. Depending on how you handle yoursef, I dont think you could come off like a bitch you state you dont want to "sound" like. If the owner wants to be an ass or just blow you off, then get ready to slam him in a civil lawsuit.

You already have pictures of the cat on your car, you can take a picture of the damages to the car, and get any/all copies from animal control and the cops if they issue warnings and/or fines.

Either A: The owner will get tired of the fines and keep the cat in the house. B: The owner will get tired of the fines and get rid of the cat. C: The owner will get tired of the fines and the cat will get destroyed.

Regardless of the outcome, you solved the problem about the cat messing with your car. Now the fun part comes in, time to collect any/all damages you can from the owner.

Take it to the most expensive repair place and get any/all repairs fixed. Any scratch mark, make them fix and collect anything you can from the cat's owner. Retal vehicle, Repairs, Lost wages (due to not getting to work because of your car), hell even buy a car cover and make him/her pay for it, it shows the court that you have exhausted all means of solving the problem without making this a civil matter.

I'm in the exact same process right now at my job because somebody is feeding stray cats and people have told me they are spotting cats on my hood. No scratches yet, but once there is, i have a valid case with the documentation I have already and eyewitnesses stating they have seen cats on my car.

Thats the "Kind" way of doing things. If it was me in your situation and its on my property, I would do things alittle different, complain to the owner, get pictures/video of the cat on the vehicle, and then get yourself some sort of trapping devince. Place the traps around your yard because you have a "racoon problem" and if the cat gets caught and dies..... Their bad (the owners) for not properly keeping their pet in their yard like responsible owners.

I love animals just as much as anybody else, but NO WAY will anything mess up my baby girl that is my Camaro.
