We have a garage... we have an outside cat.... who has a door into our garage... Cat trumps car (we had him for 7 years)... he slept on the hood of my Jeep most of the time, then I got Ruby... he got up there a couple of times, didn't even scratch the paint once! But, I was still freaking out... so, we covered the car with sheets for a few nights.. guess what? Cat doesn't get up there now. He apparently tried a few times with the sheets on (they were crumpled & messed up), but I guess he didn't like how they slid around or wasn't as cool to his body when he layed on them, not sure, but it appears to have worked.
