Seriously though, putting hot pepper sauce around the car would work and not harm the cat. Even if you taped the cats paws, that still won't hurt them, and it is too funny to watch them try to walk after you taped their paws.

Maybe its just me, but I sure get a kick out of taping a cats paw.

Make sure the car has a good coat of wax, zaino, rejex on it, and that should help keep the surface slick and prevent the scratches.
