He didn't bark for the longest time, but now everytime someone walks past the gate he barks. I guess it's territorial. If someone stops and talks to him he stops. But he really has no experience with cats. He's actually caught two birds in the back yard, picked them up in his mouth, but didn't kill them. I don't think he'd intentionally hurt anything.

My current dog doesnt bark at other dogs when I walk him, but he wants to go by them....He barks at ANYTHING that goes past the house!!! But part of the problem is that I am away at college, so can't really train him, and my dad works a TON, and shift work, so he can't...plus hes gettin too old for the training to work all that well....i know we still can, but....like I said, I am away at college, and my dad works a TON! and my mom wont do it, even though she needs the exercise....and my lil sis is too busy with school and school related stuff...
