Different sizes are made in different countries, and over time I've noticed that the ones made in the US wear slightly better and are a bit less susceptible to these quality isues than the ones made in France.

I have run PS4S tires in different sizes for 7 years, with a few short interruptions of experimenting with alternatives, always gravitating back to the Michelins.

Somewhat subjectively, I absolutely love the zero bulge sidewalls on the PS4S, no other tire has replicated that so far. Ironically, the Contis are the ones that look more like the Michelin man

From my research, I have found some repeated reviews stating that Michelins have some QA/ QC issues straight from brand new. I may actually wind up going for the Conti's instead as I was pretty happy with the performance of the DWS06 that came on the car when I got it, since the ECS02's are made to be even better than those I don't see why they wouldn't be any worse than the Michelins PLUS I get 30 days to try them out and if I don't like them I can always get the Michelins instead. Gotta love Discount Tire/ Americas Tire policies. I think that may be the best route of attack here.


I may very well wind up getting the PS4's for the front again in the end. I'll give the Conti's a shot and see how they perform though.
