Sooooo! I finally pulled the trigger on trans fluid change. It was not bad. I started loosing the bolt and left one corner tilted down more so it can mostly drain into the catch pan. still spilled some on the floor...I wasn’t sure if those magnets inside the pan can be removed,,,, I used some carb cleaner to clean the entire pan… feel like some glue were chipping off underneath the magnets…meh
Then bolted everything back on and fill up the fluid with the aftermarket “GM” drain fill check valve. I catched 6.5 quart of fluid, with some spillage on the floor, I just assume it has7 quart total. When I started the car.. the trans fluid is only at 90F with 10 mins of idling and it won’t even go up to 150 after a 10 mins drive. I didn’t notice any dribibiliry issue so I’ll just leave it as is..
I understand to have correct amount fluid in the trans, but i dont feel it has to be that precise...
