I watched the back and forths about the oil pump replacements and finally decided to bite the bullet and get it done. The shop was 8 miles away, and I don't think I took my eyes off the oil pressure gauge for more than 15 seconds all the way there. When i went to pick it up i asked for, and got, the old pump. The next day I took it apart and there was the crack, right where I read it would be. That engine was living on borrowed time. So thanks to all the contributors who saved me the cost of a new engine even if I could've found one.
